Looking for a budget-friendly Costa Maya excursion during your cruise? During our visit to Costa Maya, Mexico, we booked the Costa Maya Reef Snorkeling Excursion and Krazy Lobster Beach Club Day Pass through Shore Excursioneer and had an incredible day exploring the Caribbean Sea.

For $33.99 USD per person (at the time of booking), this excursion combined reef snorkeling and beach club access, making it an excellent value. After a short taxi ride from the cruise port, we arrived at the Krazy Lobster Beach Club, where our dedicated table and chairs were waiting for us before heading out on our snorkeling adventure.

One of the highlights of our snorkeling excursion was spotting this beautiful sea turtle in the waters off Costa Maya. 🐢

Costa Maya Reef Snorkeling Excursion

The snorkeling portion of the excursion was definitely the highlight of our day. The warm, crystal-clear Caribbean water was filled with tropical fish, and we were lucky enough to encounter two sea turtles during our tour.

While turtle sightings are never guaranteed, seeing them in their natural habitat made this excursion even more memorable.

Krazy Lobster Beach Club

After snorkeling, we spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the Krazy Lobster Beach Club. The excursion included a dedicated table and chairs, along with access to several beach club amenities, including:

  • Kayaks
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bathrooms and showers

The swimming area at Krazy Lobster Beach Club offered a relaxing place to spend the afternoon after our snorkeling excursion. 🌴

Food, beverages, and transportation were purchased separately. We enjoyed lunch at the beach club, sampled the beef nachos, relaxed by the water, and took in the beautiful Caribbean views.

If you are planning a cruise to Costa Maya, Mexico, finding the perfect spot to spend your port day is a top priority. On our recent trip, we headed to the Nacional Beach Club in Mahahual, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! 🌊

One of the best parts about this resort day pass is how easy it is to get there. We booked ours through Resort For A Day, which makes the whole process simple. Even better? Your taxi fare to and from the cruise port is included in the pass! You just hop in a taxi at the port, and the resort handles the payment when you arrive. 🚕

What to Expect During Your Day

Once you arrive, you are given a quick tour of the property so you know exactly where everything is. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Reserved Beach Loungers: No need to hunt for a spot. Your padded lounger and umbrella are reserved with your name on a sign right on the water! 🏖️
  • The Plunge Pool: If you need a break from the ocean, there is a beautiful plunge pool with built-in benches and tables where you can enjoy a cold drink. 🍹
  • All-Inclusive Dining: The food was a major standout. We started with a fresh fruit plate for breakfast and moved on to massive portions of fajitas and nachos for lunch. We even got to try the seasonal barbecued lobster, which was incredible! 🦞
  • Family Friendly: The water is calm and shallow, making it a great spot if you are traveling with kids. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Our Carnival Dream Caribbean Cruise is underway, and we’re thrilled to share all the highlights from our Costa Maya Port Adventure! Day 3 was packed with massive ship sightings, exploration, great food, and fantastic evening entertainment.

Morning Sighting and Port Arrival 🍽️⚓️

Our day started with breakfast at the Scarlet Restaurant. As we were sailing in, we could see the ginormous MSC World America docked there! We then headed straight off the Carnival Dream. While walking through the port, we saw the spectacular Dance of the Flyers show.

Mahahual Town Exploration 🌴🚶‍♀️

We took a taxi to Mahahual and explored the boardwalk, shops, and restaurants. We made sure to get our photo with the famous Mahahual sign! We also visited the historic Faro de Mahahual (Lighthouse) before taking a beautiful scenic walk back to the Costa Maya ship port and enjoying a quick swim in the pool to cool down! 🍹

Formal Dinner and Evening Fun 🥂🎭

The spectacular evening included a wonderful dinner in the Crimson Dining Room 🍽️. After dinner, we headed to the Encore Theater for the high-energy 80’s Pop to the Max show, which was followed by the fun 80’s Rock N Glow Party 🎉 on the Lido Deck! It was a perfect blend of port fun and onboard energy.
